Who Should Replace Doc Brown on the Show?We have all made the paradigm shift to expect that Doc will not show-up to do the show unless we hear otherwise...

p.s. to my fans: I had to hijack another user's account because after 3 attempts to login, I got an automated response that would have sounded like HAL if it had spoken in a live voice that said "You are no longer welcome here, please try again in 30 minutes"
pps If I am indeed replaced by Mr. Lightyear, I swear I will start a spinoff show of my own called "Dr. Doc Brown and that other guy's disks of wonder and joy, wonder and joy" It worked for George Jefferson, didn't it?

This sounds like a job for mediator-man.......or was that radiator-man.
Does it seem odd that MS and SusieStomper both joined the same day? I'm suspecting that Doc has developed multiple personalities.
Jim, this could make for some interesting program plot complications.
But seriously.... DOC! YOU CAN'T LEAVE...THINK OF THE LITTLE CHILDREN!!!!!!!!!
P.s. Rainbow (my canine owner) thinks that the Dog from the BBQ remote should be Doc's replacement. Something about that bark!
Peace!

I can safely say that I am not Dr. Doc Brown and it is not an ploy by the good Dr. to have alter-egos. So the whole theory of "isn't it funny two people joined on the same day as the poll" is a good one, but not accurate.
I happen to be a huge fan of Dr. Doc Brown and don't think he should ever lose his seat. It may be kept warm by others, but if the Dr. shows up, he gets his seat back. But that's me and my opinion.
I still think "lightyear" (as referred by Doc) is an ok guy--doesn't know much about the music, but a good man and could sort of hold the fort with Jim, Chesty, and the rest of the crew.
Look at it this way--the Dr. is the starter--a starter goes down, the backup does what he has to do until the starter returns...

I'm in 100% agreement, there.
Doc's natural sense of Zen adds something to the show that can't be replaced.
The Jim E. & Dr. Doc chemistry is a bit like the only entertaining program on NPR.
Yes, NPR is an almost unlistenable yuppie establishment hell-hole. Without "Car Talk" it would be a totally unlistenable yuppie establishment hell-hole.
It's that Tappet Bros. thing. Take away "Clack" for too long and people will begin to wonder if "Click" murdered him in his sleep.
Commander Bunny is ordering me to check my tire pressure........must obey.
Peace!

No one could truly replace the good Doc. Not that a rotating cast of "guest co-hosts" would be bad either.
Perhaps Jim could pull some classic Doc soundbites from older shows, and use them...sort of a "robo-Doc" automated Doctor Doc Brown...

Replace DocHow about Wolfman Jack, Dick Clark, Casey Kasem (sp?), or Doctor Demento? Since none are available on Saturday nights, maybe we shouldn't dump the Doc.

Everybody knows Dr. Doc Brown is the most prolific broadcaster since Wolfman Jack. He can never be replaced.
