Mr. Spock's Music From Outer SpaceI just acquired a copy of "Leonard Nimoy Presents Mr. Spock's Music From Outer Space," Dot Records DLP 25794 "Ultra high fidelity." This is an amazing record which includes, among other gems, "Music To Watch Space Girls By." This is probably not incredibly rare, as far as I know, but it is simply amazing in many ways.

That's fantastic, Cos. I think I've heard one or two cuts from that LP. I know I've at least seen it around, but never had the guts to take it home. I'm sure it is as amazing as you say... in its...umm...way.
You should rip the audio (can you call it 'ripping' when you take it from an analog source?) and post it on a blog or the rfma site or something.

Ah, Leonard Nimoy. It was truly the golden age of celebrity albums...it's kind of surprising how many he actually cut (5, I think).
Still, I'd like to mention one of his "overlooked" records, The Touch of Leonard Nimoy, also on Dot, from 1969.
Lots of straightforward, earnest attempts at pop music. My pick? Nature Boy.
