LSDI just acquired a copy of "LSD - a documentary report on the current psychedelic drug controversy," Capitol, TAO-2574, 1966. Side 1: "The Scene," Side 2: "The Trip."The LP features commentary by Timothy Leary, Allen Ginsberg, and others. The back cover has a picture of a guy face down on the floor in what I would imagine the aftermath of a get-together at the Lost Discs studio might look like. Indeed. Thanx for me reminding about that record, man.
I used one short clip from side 1 last August on the show. I've never lifted anything from side 2. I'll have to get that one out today and see what I can see. btw, Chesty & me are are going to this thing they're calling Hippiefest in Hartford tonight. Features Country Joe McDonald, Melanie, Canned Heat, etc.. Wavy Gravy is the MC. That's probably gonna be the best reason to attend. Dig.
