George Harrison's "Electric Sound".

At Goodwill, for cryin' out loud!
But, there it was for a buck and I bought it.
Not bad, if you like "space ambient" stuff. (I do, so it wasn't a torture session.)
Harrison's own "Under The Mersey Wall", is a bit amateurish. Okay a lot amateurish. Fun to listen to, for curiosities' sake. It's about half an hour long.
The real treasure here, lurks on the 'B' side with Bernie Krause's "No Time Or Space". Had this come out in August of '69, rather than October, there would have been more than a few Hippie heads turning down Walter Cronkite's mumbling during the Moon landing and playing this instead.
As I said, though. It's only fun if you're really into freaky sounds.

Peace!

B.T.W. George seems to be completely stoked on the fact that you can make fart noises on the Moog III. He spent gazillions on buying a synth and having it crated and shipped back to the U.K............only to discover that it made really cool flatulence sounds. Could be that he was blowing raspberries to anyone that shellled out for the record. Laughing

Wow! Well, that's about the best, certainly the most fair, review of Harrison's Electric Sound lp I've ever read.
I picked up my copy at Weaselly Steve's vinyl shop for about 10 bux back in my college days. Haven't listened to it in about 20 years (it was a sorta let-down at the time).
One of the other more interesting tid-bits about the album is that it's on the infamous Zapple lablel!

Cool scan of the U.K. version, Jim! Very Happy
For those not in the loop, concerning the Zapple label, U.S. versions had the logo in silver print.
Y'know, the more I listen to the thing, the more I enjoy it. There are bits here and there that remind me of Aphex Twin and Brian Eno.
Stuck it on a CDR so I can play it on a continuous loop at low volume. Shocked
Oh well. How this differs from my frequent diet of SomaFM's Drone Zone channel playing as a soundtrack to my daily wierdness, I couldn't tell ya'.
I'm a nut.

Peace!
