Tomorrow I'm getting up early to take the machine to split 4 huge maple trees worth of wood at the 'rents house and then covertly tow home the 27ton hydraulic splitter to split another couple cords here at the plantation. I have to get the splitter back by 7:00 p.m.to avoid getting caught.
By the way, I've never towed anything in the bus before, but fortunately, log splitters don't require a taillight hookup, and I've always been amazed (and never been dissapointed) at the capabilies of ductape and hemp twine.
To me, the meaning of labor day is work ten times harder than you normally do. A doctor's got to do what a dr's got to do, people.
It's now 7 hrs to "GO TIME", and my pre-labor day regimen of bud lites, smokes, late night cinemax, and strategically placed heating pads have brought me to my pre slumber happy place.
Let the games begin... _________________ Stick it to the Man, man. |
