I remember that episode. How bizarre that was as a child, with the switched identities, and the segment's auto-destruction conclusion.  _________________ What a shame Mary Jane caught a pain at the party! |

I remember seeing this as a kid, and absolutely not getting it. I had no idea who Frank Zappa was, and the trashing the car finale just left me going, "whaa?" and possibly in tears.
At the same time, I also remember Micky introducing Tim Buckley, who played a solo number. I didn't know who Buckley was, either.
As I recall, these spots were given to the individual Monkees by the producers to keep them happy. Does anyone remember Davy or Peter's guests? _________________ One chord is fine. Two chords are pushing it. Three chords and you're into jazz. |
