The Beatles merchandising juggernaut continues apace, 45 years on... I found this at the Beatles Virtual Museum.
and there's also a bit of news on Beatles themed die cast toys, too. The Yellow Submarine and the Magical Mystery Tour bus are included, and the other models are decorated with album art.
Honestly, why don't they make a model of John's psychelic Rolls? I'd like one of those on my desk (although the Revolver mobile isn't too bad).

I like the Beatles museum site. There's always something interesting or strange or both going on there.
Even though I don't think the die cast cars look that great (other than the obvious-the bus and the sub are naturals), there's been plenty more so-so Beatles merch. I regret not picking up the Yellow Sub and Saturday morning action figures a few years back...
Hey, wasn't the Yellow Sub released as a Matchbox or Corgi toy back when the movie came out? I remember having a model kit of it when I was 5 or 6. _________________ One chord is fine. Two chords are pushing it. Three chords and you're into jazz. |

Yes, Corgi put out a nice Yellow Sub toy back in '69. Friend of mine gave me his that he received when he was a little boy in the hospital having his tonsils out! It was missing the John & Paul figures that popped up in the front, however. But still very cool.
I've always wanted the Corgi Mystery Tour Bus to display on my bookshelf... that is extremely cool. Missed picking up that re-issue a few years back.
