Okay, this has been bugging me for a while...Lennon & McCartney gave loads of songs to other people to record, while never cutting the songs (or releasing them) with the Beatles.  Here are a few of the songs they gave away. What's your fave?

By far my vote goes to Love of the Loved! Cilla Black is fantastic, & the version that the Beatles cut at their Decca session is absolutely wonderful - it's always baffled me as to why they gave this one away (perhaps Cilla was  good in other ways to Wink
Anyway, Joe, what about I'm In Love also by The Fourmost?
Dig.

Cilla's "Step Inside Love" is pretty darn good.

Peace!

Incidentally, At the big record convention in Allentown, Penna we was at on Saturday 3/15 I scored a copy of Love Of The Loved by The E-Types (Sunburst SBM 45-001). the B-side is She Moves Me, now, who else cut that song...? Seems that somebody bigger had it out... just can't recall.
Little help? Embarassed

The E-Types song is credited to Ed Cobb (thanks, AllMusic!), who worked with the Standells and the Chocolate Watchband, among many others.

Muddy Waters cut a song with the same title, but it's not the same.  Could this be the version you're thinking of?

Her husband Bobby, probably would have stomped a beatle to death, had that been the case.  Laughing

Peace!
